3 Grave Reasons Why Man Utd Won’t SACK Jose Mourinho

Reports suggest that Jose Mourinho will not be sacked by Manchester United right now for three reasons.

The club are standing by their manager despite their meek performance in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

There have been plenty of suggestions from fans and pundits alike that United should make a change and look to appoint a new manager.

After the loss at Liverpool, Mourinho reiterated his belief that his side could still finish in the top four.

That belief that they could still finish in the Champions League places is one of three reasons why the sack isn’t in the offing.

United’s minimum goal for Mourinho is Champions League football and he will be given at least until their last-16 clash with Paris St German to achieve that target.

United are extremely unwilling to make a change at the midway part of the campaign because they would have little option but to put the inexperienced Michael Carrick in caretaker charge.

The second reason is that the calibre of coach they want simply isn’t available.

They know they would have a much better chance of getting a top coach, such as Mauricio Pochettino if they wait until May or June when the campaign is over.

The third reason is that United don’t want to appoint Zinedine Zidane, even though the three-time Champions League winner making himself available to the club.

They are not sure the French legend is right for them, in spite of his success at the Bernabeu.

United handed Mourinho a new deal until 2020 in January in recognition of his progress during his first two seasons in charge and are ready to be patient with him.
