Real Madrid will be splashing the cash at the end of the season owing to the catastrophic defense of their La Liga title.
The likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne who are both in the running for the PFA Player of the Year, have been linked with moves to Spain’s top teams.
Sawyer believes Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United all have players they both want to make moves for, but, Sawyer feels English teams’ quest for European glory will see them stand firm when clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid come knocking.
“The Premier League has the best managers in the world, and many of the world’s leading stars ply their trade here.
“Barcelona and Real Madrid had an aura about them that put fear into teams… but not anymore.
“Roma showed the world that Lionel Messi’s Barcelona is not invincible and Real only scraped home against Juventus.
“If our top teams hang onto their big stars then they can have sustained success in Europe.
“But our teams will not want to sell because all of them can see that European glory is up for grabs,” she told The Sun.
