Chelsea have reportedly negotiated with three interested parties as Roman Abramovich considers selling the Premier League club in a £2.5billion deal.
The Russian bought Chelsea back in 2003 but there are rumours that we might soon see a Chelsea takeover.
Last year, a bid was reported to have been made for Chelsea by Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, while there is also interest from US and Asian-based finance groups according to the Mail.
Abramovich, who purchased Chelsea FC in a £140m deal back in 2003, is not believed to have attended any of the Blues games since being denied a visa in May 2018.
He did not pay for a corporate box at the start of the season either, something he has not done since 2011.
Shock reports emerged last year claiming the 53-year-old Russian billionaire is looking to cash in on the Blues, despite chairman Bruce Buck saying recently Abramovich remains committed to the club and that there will be no Chelsea takeover.
Chelsea announced a £1billion plan in 2018 to redevelop Stamford Bridge had been put on hold due to the ‘current unfavourable investment climate’.
