Jorge Sampaoli Vows to continue as Argentina Head Coach

12views

Jorge Sampaoli has this evening announced that he has no intention of standing down from his position as Argentina head coach, even after the South American giants’ World Cup exit at the hands of France.

An investigation into the shortcomings of Argentina has already commenced, with the main culprit targeted by the media having as expected been coach Jorge Sampaoli.

Despite a number of the 2-time World Cup winners ’ stars having flattered to deceive during their 4-match stint in this summer’s tournament, no one individual has been more blamed for the Albiceleste’s eventual elimination than Sampaoli, with the former Chile boss’ team selections and decision-making having proven frankly-baffling at times.

As such, it had been widely-predicted by both fans and the media that the 58-year-old would make public his intention to call time on his stint as the head coach of Argentina in the upshot of this afternoon’s showdown.

However, speaking to reporters a short time ago, Sampaoli shocked the world by confirming that he, in fact, has no plan on leaving his post anytime soon, stating simply that he ‘will not resign’.
