Manchester United Suffer SetBack In Pursuit Of Brazilian Midfielder

Manchester United’s chase of Fabinho seems to have hit a rough patch with the Brazilian Midfielder reportedly close to signing a contract extension with the Ligue 1 outfit.

According to Transfermarkt, the 24-year-old’s current deal is set to run till the summer of 2021. Jose Mourinho was eyeing a summer move for Fabinho but might just be forced to look for alternatives now.

The Brazilian Midfielder is a proven talent on the European stage. His ball-winning and interception abilities at the heart of the park are his major qualities.

Fabinho takes on the anchor role extremely well, just like that of Manchester City’s Fernandinho. The AS Monaco midfielder is also multi-talented enough to feature in the right-back position.

He has been capped four times for his country’s national team but may not appear in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

At the moment, the midfield might not be as weak as the defence but needs some improvements. Paul Pogba has hit a rough patch in Manchester United and has been struggling to make his impact felt in recent times.

He may return to his usual self with a forceful presence next to him. Nemanja Matic has proven to be of value but he is still a doubt for the whole of the season.
