According to a shocking report from Spain, Mo Salah has reportedly threatened to leave Liverpool following the Reds’ failure to sign Nabil Fekir.
Salah enjoyed a stellar debut season at Anfield, scoring 44 goals and registering 14 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.
The Egypt international’s impressive form for club and country over the past 12 months has seen him linked with La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, including several other big European clubs.
Meanwhile, Fekir was set to join Liverpool from Lyon but the Reds allegedly tried to lower the transfer fee after finding out an ongoing knee issue during his medical, which led to the deal’s collapse.
The 25-year-old wanted the France international to join the Merseysiders following a remarkable season in France and is unhappy at how the deal broke down, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.
The report goes on to claim that Salah has sent his club an ultimatum expressing his feelings and is now thought to be considering offers from Barca and Real.
Salah’s contract with Liverpool runs until June 2022.
