Mohamed Salah Profiting From Work of Others – Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Mohamed Salah needs to thank his teammates for a large chunk of his goals this season.

The 25-year-old has earned widespread praise for his displays since he arrived Anfield last summer, as he remains on course to break the record for the most goals in a 38-game season.

The Egyptian forward at present has 29 Premier League goals for the campaign, just 2 short of the previous best, and still has 6 more games left.

Asked how he is getting the best out of Salah, Klopp pointed out that his star performer is perhaps benefiting from the work of others in the Liverpool side.

“I think Mo has made strides forward within this team through the way in which the team play and the way the other lads interact with him on the pitch.

“The way they look to him as such an important player and the way everyone unselfishly tries to play him in.

“The defensive work is done for him, that way he regularly gets into goal scoring positions. With some of his goals he had to beat five men so I can’t say he profited a lot from what the others did, but with a lot of his other goals he did profit from it. And I believe this interaction has allowed him to take the next step so everything’s gone well so far,” Jurgen Klopp told UEFA’s official website.
