Two Premier League Side, Real Madrid target Colombia star Juan Fernando Quintero

Juan Fernando Quintero has reportedly become a transfer target for Premier League pair Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Colombia international was signed by Portuguese giants Porto in 2013 but has spent the last three years away from the club on loan.

In January 2018, the 25-year-old midfielder signed a one-year loan deal with River Plate in Argentina which reportedly did not include a recall clause.

The contract is however believed to include an option to make the deal permanent for a fee of €3.25m (£2.8m) for 80 percent of the player’s rights, having paid an initial sum of €500,000 (£443,000).

According to Spanish outlet AS, Real Madrid have identified the player as a possible stand-in for Mateo Kovacic, who has signaled his intention to exit the club this summer.

However, the report, in addition, states that Spurs and Wolves have entered the race for Quintero and have both made contact over a transfer.

Quintero has played in all three of Colombia’s World Cup matches so far, scoring once and giving two assists.
